Smart Stripes

Today is my first day of classes in my senior year of college – exciting! I wore a simple striped tee today, and I think a lot of other people had the same idea. I have seen so many people wearing grey striped shirts today! Here’s how I wore mine:

top: Loft via Plato’s Closet (?); jeans: Old Navy via Plato’s Closet; shoes: Nine West via Your Stuff; earrings: Your Stuff; Watch: Belk (?)

It’s chilly here for August – I think i’ll grab a sweater before my next class!

Teal Time!

In the September issue of Real Simple, they say the color of the season (fall, that is) is teal. I’m happy because I LOVE teal! I was so inspired by the article that I made a display at the store based on it:

The Real Simple style experts suggested three color pairings. From left to right, the first two outfits are GREY + TEAL, the second two are SAFFRON + TEAL, and the last two are VIOLET + TEAL. I love all of the combinations and can’t decide which is my favorite. They are all so pretty! Here’s my take on teal:

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes!

In two weeks I’ve bought nearly $600 worth in shoes and I’m super excited! Of course, If I had actually spent $600, I’d have a serious, serious case of buyer’s remorse. How much DID all of these shoes cost? About $135. THAT’S why I love consignment stores. I got 2 pairs of leather boots in practically new condition (the soles aren’t even worn), 1 pair of forest-green-ish-black patent leather mary jane heels, and 1 pair of pewter peep-toe wedges.
